Island Friend Food Tours are culinary immersions designed to help you discover Saint Martin through its local food culture.
They are not classic tourist tours, but carefully prepared experiences with family-run restaurants and local artisans.
How is this different from a typical food tour?
Island Friend does not offer mass tourism experiences.
Groups are intentionally small, locations are often invisible on booking platforms, and every dish comes with its story.
You don’t just eat, you understand the island.
What kind of food will I taste?
Depending on the immersion, you may discover iconic Saint Martin specialties such as:
- Johnny Cakes
- Traditional patties
- Local products and Creole spices
- Guavaberry and other local specialties
Tastings may vary depending on availability and the selected route.

Everything is handled by Island Friend.

Where do the Food Tours take place?
We currently offer two culinary immersions:
- Marigot: the historical and popular heart of local gastronomy (start near the Tourism Office Spot)
- Grand-Case: the gastronomic village, focused on sharing and transmission
Exact itineraries are intentionally shared on the day of the experience.
How big are the groups?
Food Tours are conducted in small groups only, to preserve the quality of the experience and real interaction with local partners.
These are not tours with 30 or 50 people.
